About Technitea

A small press for people who learn by doing.

Technitea makes short, carefully checked books that get you from “I've never done this” to “I did it myself”.

The name

From technites, a craftsperson.

In Greek, a technites is someone who has mastered a trade: a potter, a builder, a shipwright. They learned by doing the work, badly at first, then well. Technitea is meant to be the place where that happens.

The logo is a capital T drawn as a column, the kind that holds up a roof, with a small copper spark at the corner. The column is the knowledge. The spark is the moment it becomes yours.

House rules

What every book has to do

01

Get you to a result

Each guide ends with something you've made: a growing bucket, a working program, a budget that adds itself up, a plan for the first hour after a scam.

02

Show its sources

Figures come from named public sources and are listed at the back with their year. Where we estimate, we say so.

03

Respect your time

Most of our guides are under 100 pages. If a chapter can be shorter without losing anything, it is.

04

Be tested

Code is run, formulas are recalculated, steps are followed as printed. The output in the book is the output you'll see.

05

Be honest about how it's made

Illustrations are created with AI image tools under art direction. Every book says so on its copyright page.

06

Belong to you

PDF and EPUB, no DRM, no account needed to read. Keep the files, back them up, read them anywhere.

Who's behind it

Technitea is an independent publisher based in Indonesia. Our books are written in American English for readers in the United States, and sold worldwide.
