“Unknown object,” said Bolt. “Size: very small. Use: none. Put in bin.” “Don't you dare,” said Mrs. Coo.
High above the city, on the roof of a very tall building, a small watering-can robot called Bolt sweeps, wipes and taps, and is finished by teatime. Then a seed bounces off Bolt's eye, and Mrs. Coo the pigeon says the one thing Bolt can't stand: you'll have to wait and see.
Twelve illustrated spreads follow Bolt through days of counting, worrying and caring, until something very small becomes something very tall. The book ends with a short parent's guide to growing a sunflower together.
